KRISTEN STEWART hit the red carpet for the AFI FEST 2014 screening of her new movie “Still Alice” where she wore a edgy geometric printed Chanel mini dress and sported a textured wavy mane with shimmering opalescent makeup to match.
the hair.
GIANNANDREA, one of Kristen’s go-to mane men, worked with the actress and achieved the “rocker chic” look using products exclusively from Macadamia Professional.
THE STYLE: “I started on wet hair and applied ample amounts of Macadamia Professional Foaming Volumizer to the entire head. Then I created a deep side part on the left side of the head. Then I combed the hair up & back as if we were creating a pompadour and with a round brush I blew the hair dry adding extra volume. Next I smoothed the sides back with Macadamia Professional Healing Oil Treatment giving the hair a sleek, tight look.
Once the whole head is dry I took a good amount of Macadamia Professional Whipped Detailing Cream and with hands ran it throughout the whole top to create a heavy texture. Next I took a flat iron and flatten it a bit at the ends, to give it an extra edgy look.
To finish I sprayed the hair with Macadamia Professional Control Working Spray which set the hair in place without being too stiff.”

the makeup.
Makeup artist JILLIAN DEMPSEY echoed Giannandrea’s approach by using a makeup palette that tied in Kristen’s look from head-to-toe. “I was inspired by the black and white tones on her dress and wanted to mimic the same feeling for her eyes. I wanted to focus on keeping her skin fresh, youthful and evenly balanced,” she explained.
FOUNDATION: “I used YSL Fusion Ink Foundation in BD10 Warm Porcelain as a base and then concealed under her eyes with YSL Anti-Cernes Multi-Action Concealer in 2 Nude Beige. I finished with Chantecaille ‘Hi Definition’ Perfecting Powder to give her skin a smooth, matte look.”
BLUSH: I applied NARS Blush in Nico- Natural Glow for a light, fresh cheek.

EYE SHADOW: I started by applying a base layer of By Terry Hyaluronic Eye Primer. I then covered her lid with Make Up For Ever Artist Eyeshadow in Pearl for an opalescent eye look. I applied the same shade to the inner corners of her eyes, as well as just below her lower lash line, for pop of shine. I used the dark taupe shade in the YSL Pure Chromatics Eyeshadow Palette in no. 19 to blend out her crease.
EYELINER: I lined her upper and lower water line with my Jillian Dempsey Kohl Eyeliner in Jet Black, to define her eyes. I then drew a soft line of my Khol Pencil just above her upper lashes and blended up.
EYEBROWS: I used CHANEL Crayon Sourcils Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in 40 Brun Cendre for her eyebrows.
MASCARA: I curled her lashes and then used several coats of Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara on her upper and lower lashes.
LIPS: For lips I applied Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Bitch Perfect.
